Despite the liberian government pronouncement that it has distributed thousands chairs to public schools a survey conducted by journalists for human rights in the country has shown that many school are without chairs.
The journalists which include reporters from print and broadcast media institutions found out that many of the public schools in montrerrado county which population is about 1.3 millon of the total 3.4 millions population of the country are with out chairs with the students sitting on the gruond.
In some of the schools, the classes are lecking which can not allow the students to sit in classes. the opportunity that I made use of to know the happenings in our schools I saw books wasting on the floor of some of the schools’ librarties.
Every year, thousands of united states dollars are allocated the educational sector of the country.

Liberia’s former state council chairman Professor Wilton Sakanwolo remains have finally been laid to rest. prof Sakanwolo appointed as head of the council in 1995 to lead one of Liberia’s many agreements during the the just ended civil conflict in the country.
the late Prof, wrote many books in Liberia including the famous “WHY NOWBODY KNOW WHEN HE WILL DIE? and thougth english and literature at many unversities in Liberia famous among them the Unversity of Liberia . he received state funiral.

The Agriculture Ministry and the UN FOOD and Agriculture Organization have launched a smallholder farmers project valued over three million United states dollars.
Agriculture Minister Dr. Christ Toe at the launch said the project under the name; Purchase for Purpose will provide at least one thousand four hundred metric tonnes of rice over the next two years.
Dr. Toe described the launched of the smallholders project as amilestone in the history of the agriculture sector in post war Liberia.
He said implementation ofthe purchase for purpose smallholder farmers project would primiry be guided by a framework agreement involving the ministry of agriculture, Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO and the World Food Organization WFP.
FAO senior Emergency coordinator in Liberia, Mr. Tim Vaessen renemed his organization’s commitment to ensuring thatthe drive for food security in Liberia was achieved.
Dr. Toe signed for the Liberian Government While Mr. Tim Vaessen signed for FAO.
